Contemporary Home Renovation in Villanova, PA

In 2015, Diane embarked on a home redesign project and contacted me through an internet search for design assistance. We immediately clicked over our passions for creativity and design. We started to work together transforming Diane's traditional suburban home into a unique contemporary showpiece.

We opened up the first-floor layout of the kitchen, following Diane’s modern preferences, and integrated red and black accents throughout the home, with gray as the calming neutral backdrop. The open areas were visually separated using various floor materials.

The kitchen features stainless steel and European-made glass cabinets, with a bold red quartz countertop. Custom-designed Italian red pendants added flair to the bar area. The dining room boasted a custom-made table from Italy with a gray porcelain top and striking red and orange metal legs, complemented by contemporary gray leather chairs and a black glass linear chandelier. Lighting was meticulously researched and designed, with a particular emphasis on fixtures.

The main bedroom was transformed with a raised ceiling and black-stained hardwood floors. The master bathroom was constructed entirely of black glass. Despite the inventive interior, the exterior design aimed to blend in with the neighborhood, preserving its historical aesthetic. Leaving Diane with her childhood home crafted with her personal touch.
