Leslie and Al have been together for 35 years, and I've been designing their home for more than 20. For most of that time, it was Leslie and me choosing furniture, fabrics, materials, colors, and details. Her preferences became wonderfully familiar: softness, curves, patterns, texture, flowers, light, and a warm evening glow.

Then Al's small, outdated bathroom was up for reimagining as a new master bathroom, while the hall bath would become Leslie's bathroom.

For one extraordinary week in Milan, inspiration was everywhere — surrounding me the moment I entered Fiera Milano, where vast exhibition halls were transformed into extraordinary immersive showrooms and beautifully composed environments. Each one drew me toward the next innovation, the next breathtaking presentation, and the next moment of wonder. This was design at its most imaginative, international, and alive.
